I love this album and it's one of the very few I'll play beginning to end rather than in a random shuffle, usually if I want to concentrate on reading something I really need to take in, or writing. The blurry, out-of-focus feedback drones blend wonderfully with the ambient noise of the living room and the fuzzy layer of distortion imparted by the analog cassette. The previous LP's rich, stately tone does make up a lot of the character, but a return to the exploration of non-musical, abstract sonic nuance is where the magic is here, still wonderful in repress.
